A Momentary Interruption

Ah, technology...

Right now, xepher.net, the computational device that nowadays holds all the images I upload to the internet, is having some sort of an issue.

I don't know what that issue is. But I should've been able to predict that this would happen this weekend. Y'see, the guy who runs that machine—whom I have never met and only know as Xepher—is, like me, a fan of the My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic cartoon series. If I'm recalling correctly, he's said in the past that it was my posting about the show on his machine that got him interested in it...

Still, one weekend every August, he and a bunch of other fans put together a big convention up in Bellevue, WA called Everfree Northwest. And it's become traditional that his machine breaks down in some way on exactly the weekend that he's away helping run the convention's writing programs.

     Guess what weekend this is?

So as soon as he's able to get it fixed, the comics and poems will return. But, well, as Esther Averill says in the Jenny Linsky books, "Time is nothing to a cat when he is dancing." And when ponies are involved? :)

EDIT: About 45 minutes after I posted this originally, the website came up again, and all was well. Because that's how the universe works...
