The Daily Grind Table of Contents It occurred to me way back when I was still actually doing all this as a daily comic that Doc is the only one of our major characters whose parents are still alive and who also gets along with them. Howlett and his father reconciled near the end of our 12th storyline, " Holiday ," but his mother died when he was very young. Mrs. Teasdale reached a rather tentative detente with her parents during the course of our 38th storyline, " The Old Country ," but it kind of hinges on her not seeing them very often. Tharka's parents died when he was young more than a hundred years ago - we saw him watch his mother's death way back near the beginning of our 4th storyline, " Dust Bunny ," and Jo visited her parents in Hell as the climax of our 48th storyline, " Hierogamia ." So, yeah, no one's exactly getting the "Good Housekeeping Seal of Approval" around here...

But ever since they came to power in the Airborne Web near the end of our 72nd storyline, " Crash Positions ," Drusilla's become something of a foreign mininster/spy chief to her older sister Postuma's Queen of the Night. So many spiders!
