A Couple Things

Here's a couple odd things.
Last year, I had a story called "Collaborators" published on the Cosmic Roots and Eldritch Shores website. It's a story that started out as a 10,000-word piece of My Little Pony fanfiction before getting boiled down to the current 7,000-word piece of stand-alone fantasy fiction that it is now. And it's just been nominated for the WSFA Small Press Award for Short Fiction.
The award—and the $500 prize—will be handed out at Capclave in Rockville, MD in September, so who knows what'll happen?
The second odd thing is allegedly happening next Wednesday as I type this. That morning at 9AM, three other poets and me will be presenting a reading of our stuff as part of the 2025 Worldcon, happening this year in Seattle. It's all been rather confusing since the woman who asked me to be a part of the panel and who I thought was organizing the whole thing isn't listed as a panel participant and says she hasn't heard anything from the Worldcon organizers since she submitted the panel idea back in February. And they've spelled my name wrong, too...
I guess this another "we'll see what happens" situation.
