For Folks in Southern California

As part of:

The whole Gleanings thing that I wrote about last week, Neal Shusterman, the guy behind the Arc of the Scythe series, is doing a bunch of book signings across the country. And since several of us who collaborated with him on the stories in the collection live here in southern California, he's invited us to join him for one of the events.

It'll be Tuesday, November 22nd, two days before Thanksgiving, so I don't know if that means a bigger possible crowd or a smaller one, and it'll be at the Barnes & Noble bookstore in the Irvine Spectrum Center.

Considering that the last time I went somewhere for a book signing several decades ago, the publisher hadn't actually gotten around to printing any copies of the book, I'm expecting this one to be a bit more organized. So if you want to discuss My Little Pony fanfiction or talking animal stories in general or even, I guess, the book and series around which the event is centered, I'll be there with Neal and his son Jarrod—the two of them won the National Book Award back in 2015 for their terrific YA novel Challenger Deep—as well as any of the other involved writers who can make it. It'll more than likely be fun for certain selected segments of the entire family!
